Small Business Resiliency Academy Application

YOU ARE INVITED TO APPLY TO THE SMALL BUSINESS RESILIENCY ACADEMY
Goodwille Pierre LLC in collaboration with Houston Community College will address disaster recovery and resiliency for MINORITY OWNED BUSINESSES IMPACTED BY HURRICANE HARVEY through the Small Business Resiliency Academy. Experts throughout the United States will come to Houston to train minority business owners, for financial operations, Marketing, contingency resources, loans and operations.
Partners working with Goodwille Pierre LLC to provide the training through the academy are:

- Woman’s Business Enterprise Alliance
- Emerge Financial Group
- Houston Business Development, Inc.
The Academy will serve two cohorts made up of 25-35 minority businesses owners impacted by Hurricane Harvey. The Academy makeup can include a cross-section of industries, size, ownership demographics and geographic locations. Participant business owners will be assisted with creating, defining, developing and implementing individualized, multi-stepped Resiliency Plans that are action oriented and easy to follow. The businesses that successfully completes the five-week program will get to own the disaster recovery and resiliency plan they created during the training and be part of a public recognition program and receive a certificate designating them as a Disaster Resilient Business.

In addition to the five-week training, participants will be invited to the Business Resiliency Expo This event will feature over 200 minority business owners, vendors and will feature Fmr. Lt. General Russel L. Honoré, Fmr. Commander of Joint Task Force Katrina.
Applicants who meet the program criteria will be selected based on space availability.
